But Henry sees true ability in Debbie, and the two mesh into a tenacious team. They'll definitely need all their skills to solve their first case together. It begins with a serial rapist but quickly leads to a corruption scandal and another cold case, this one decades old and involving a long-ago promise that Harry may finally be able to keep. As always, Oldham offers pulse-pounding action, nail-biting suspense, and plenty of unexpected twists, along with humor and humanity. A fine crime novel, perfect for Ian Rankin fans.
