《江湖凶猛》通过区明，区风，晏五，马腾几个拳师命运的沉浮，勾勒出了一座历史古城在现代社会里十几年的沧桑变迁。曾经活生生的武林，江湖，都是以真实的状态存在过的，只是现在已经逝去，湮没无闻。现在想来，在那个时候最后出现的这些江湖人士的轻轻一笔，却是整个中国武侠时代的最后挽歌。( The Ferocious Lawless World sketches out the vicissitudes of an ancient city in more than ten years in modern society through describing the ups and downs of the boxers Qu Ming, Qu Feng, Yan Wu and Ma Teng.
