战国策 (Strategies of the Warring States)

陈训慈（1901—1991），字叔谅，浙江慈溪官桥村（今属余姚市）人，陈布雷之弟。1932年到1941年间任浙江图书馆馆长。1938—1940年间兼任浙江大学史地系教授，浙大龙泉分校主任。抗日战争爆发，联络浙江大学、杭州艺术专科学校、西湖博物馆等单位，创办《抗战导报》，呼吁抗日，并组织馆藏文澜阁《四库全书》及其他善本书籍迁移工作，以避战争烽火。这些宝贵图书，起先转移到浙江偏僻山区，后来又辗转运到重庆。抗战胜利后，他又竭力促成将文澜阁《四库全书》运回浙江。数年前，我在偶然的场合中，得到陈训慈的日记手稿三册，其中有一册题为《丁丑日记》第五册（封面另有一行"抗日战争时期第一册"），起民国二十七年元旦至一月卅日，另一册是《运书日记戊寅日记之一》，起民国二十七年一月卅一日（即戊寅元旦），止二月二十八日；两册正好衔接，所记为1938年头两个月搬迁《四库全书》途中之事。至于搬迁之始，当记于《丁丑日记》的前几册中。陈训慈在九十诞辰时，曾将三册《丁丑日记》捐献给浙江图书馆，2002年5月底我趁去杭州开会之机，到该馆浏览了这三册日记，其编号分别为《丁丑日记》第一、三、四册，而搬运《四库全书》之始正记在所缺之第二册中，真是遗憾。第三、四册中有关搬迁《四库全书》的内容则已由徐永明征得陈训慈哲嗣同意，整理发表于2000年3月台湾出版的《中国文哲研究通讯》十卷一期上。至于搬迁之末，当在《戊寅日记》之二以后诸册。据悉，陈训慈仍有数量不小的日记存于家中，但《戊寅日记第二》以后诸册恐怕亦缺，否则徐永明应当同时整理问世。又，在《运书日记》之最后，陈说其将应浙江大学之聘前往赣州，或许《运书日记》就此没有下梢？若然，目前《丁卯日记》之第五册与《戊寅日记》之第一册就更显其可贵，因为其中不但叙述了运书过程的种种艰辛困难，描述了不同人物对搬迁图书的态度看法，还展示了抗战初浙江省府及有关部门的应对措施，甚至还描述了浙东山区的风俗面貌，真正是难得的现代史料。Chen Xunci (1901-1991), his style name was Shuliang from Guanqiao Village (belong to Yuyao now), Cixi, Zhejiang. He was the younger brother of Chen Bulei. He was the chief librarian of Zhejiang Library from 1932 to 1941 with the additional post of the professor of Department of History and Geography of Zhejiang University as well as the director of Longquan Branch of Zhejiang University from 1938 to 1940. After the outbreak of Anti-Japanese War, he contacted Zhejiang University, Hangzhou Arts School and West Lake Museum to found the Anti-Japanese War Guide to appeal to fight against Japan and organize the migration of Siku Quanshu in Wenlange Library as well as other rare books so as to keep from the war. These valuable books were moved to the remote mountainous area in Zhejiang and then moved to Chongqing. After the victory of Anti-Japanese War, he tried his best to transport the Siku Quanshu in Wenlange Library back to Zhejiang. I got 3 volumes of Chen Xunci's diary manuscripts several years ago occasionally, one of which was titled as The 5th Volume of Dingchou Diary (one line on the cover said that "the 1st volume during Anti-Japanese War") from the New Year's Day of the 27th Year of the Republic of China to the 30th day of the 1st lunar month; the other volume was One of Diary on Book Transportation in Wuyin Year from the 31st day of the 1st lunar month of the 27th Year of the Republic of China (New Year's Day of Wuyin Year) to the 28th day of the 2nd lunar month; the two volumes just...
