金葫芦 (A Gold Gourd)

20世纪40年代初，在江南农村偏僻小镇的一个飘着鹅毛大雪的隆冬的夜晚，我们全家围坐在火炉旁，听奶奶讲金葫芦的故事。引人入胜的故事情节，像磁铁一样紧紧地吸引着我，主人公勤劳、专注、诚实、善良的优秀品质深深地感动着我，给4岁的我留下了终生难忘的印象。这就是我第一次知道金葫芦，它就走近了我的心中。In the early 1940s, on a bitter cold winter night with heavy snow, all my family, who lived in a remote countryside town in the south of Changjiang River, were sitting around a stove, listening to Granny telling the story of A Gold Gourd. The story was so interesting that it attracted me as a magnet. I was deeply moved by the main character's positive qualities — hard-work, focus, honesty and kindness. Though I was only 4 at that time, I was impressed so much that I would never forget the story. So to speak, the first time I got to know the story A Gold Gourd, it was rooted in my heart.
