There were many famous people in the Yuan Family such as Yuan Jiasan, Yuan Baozhong, Yuan Shih-kai, Yuan Kewen and Luke Chia-Liu Yuan. Among five or six generations of people, there were great statesmen and military strategists, great scholars, great scientists, which made it an influential family in modern Chinese history.
