But it seems that this book of Carter proves an ancient proposition of Confucianism in the east: a just cause gains great support while an unjust cause gains little. Although the author discusses moral issues from the perspective of Christianity, its critique and review have great significance on the moral decline under the background of globalization. This is not a collection of political comments, but an important ideological book, representing the review on tradition and conscience of intellectuals in the elite culture of the US.
