阎锡山（1883年10月10日—1960年5月23日）字百川，号龙池，汉族，山西五台县河边村人，日本陆军士官学校第六期毕业生，清朝陆军步兵科举人、协军校，同盟会员，组织与领导了太原辛亥起义。民国时期，历任山西省都督、督军、省长、北方国民革命军总司令、国民党中央政治委员、军事委员会副委员长、太原绥靖公署主任、第二战区司令长官、山西省政府主席、国民政府行政院院长、国防部部长。一级上将。解放前夕去台湾，卸职后避居阳明山著述至去世。
