《江湖丛谈》为连阔如先生遗著，以大量的篇幅记述和揭露了清末至20世纪30年代这一时期江湖行当的内幕以及危害社会的种种骗术，劝诫人们不要贪便宜上当受骗。作者于上世纪30年代以云游客笔名在北平《时言报》连载书稿内容，1936年（民国二十五年）由时言报社结集出版。中华书局此次增订再版，请李滨声先生做插图50余幅，补充了"小绺门""风门""雁门"等原书未及的几节文字，并选配多幅珍贵人物照片和历史资料照片。宜于欣赏和典藏。
